Changing Military Convoy Colors on the Fly

Author: Lance Winslow

In the future of modern battlefield will change in the supply chain convoys will move much faster. As these convoys move faster they will also move through different regions where the terrain is different color. To counteract this problem camouflage needs to be easy to apply and color will need to be changed on the fly. Therefore, some type of spray on dirt will be necessary.

Another comment I would like to mention is the potential to make dust storms to conceal the convoy or stop the dust that the convoy makes to prevent detection;

I have been kicking this idea around for a while, all aspects, backwards and forwards. From an enemy standpoint, from a US convoy standpoint. Both how to detect it and how to use it to your advantage in warfare; and our team has had some practice with cleaning army type equipment, lots of it too;

The camouflage will need to be able to be quickly removed and also quickly applied, as to not slow down the forward advancements of our army and the logistical supply chain convoys. I propose that more research and development dollars be spent in tackling this problem so in the future we have at our disposal ways to quickly change color of our fighting force. Consider this in 2006.
