Perpetual Motion Machines Cannot Exist?

Author: Lance Winslow

We are told in physics class that perpetual motion machines cannot exist although many never buy into that law of physics; matter cannot be created or destroyed. Never the less they memorize this law so they can be sure of a passing grade. Yet, somewhere along the way they think to themselves, but there are examples of such right here in our own solar system. Recently in an online think tank a fellow thinker stated:

But; Then I look up at the Sun and realize "It" is a self sufficient power that feeds off its own energy that is vital to our existence that does not get anything in return but the centrifugal rotation of our 9 planets. The Sun however is dying, and its lifetime may not be infinite like its creator, but compared to the lifetime our human race it surely will live forever.

Surely the perpetual motion machine, which supposedly cannot exist is here and it is alive and well today (good observation) and indeed theory holds that it [Sun] will expand one day and engulf the Earth and then retreat and burn out. Although, we do not know this for sure, we assume it by other observable events in other parts of our Universe.

Yet our observations here do not seem to point to the fact that the Sun will one day burn out and thus who is to say that those who theorize that the sun will blow out, know what they are talking about. That is not to say that they probably are correct to some degree? But we do not know that, we have been told that. If you believe everything that you have been told or have read then you only prove that you are human and gullible. Which seems to be an observable trait as well. Lots to consider here and indeed you may wish to think on this in 2006.

Currently Lance is retired at age 40 and is running an Online Think Tank Forum while traveling North America. Perhaps considering something extremely challenging to do that will exercise his mind and utilize all his experiences, observations and skills. Any ideas?
