Soccer Ball Mosquito Deterrent

Author: Lance Winslow

There are many virus and disease vectors in the world, yet we all know that one of the worst is Mosquitoes and they can cause havoc for people and animals spreading SARS, West Nile Virus and other diseases which can be transferred thru blood contact. This is a serious issue and with all the freestanding water around it makes perfect breeding grounds for endless generations of Mosquitoes.

The average female Mosquito, the kinds which love to bit humans lay about 400 eggs each. And they only need one bite to give them the nutrients to re-produce. This is unfortunate for those who are outside a lot. For instance our children perhaps on the patio or in a park or worse off on a soccer field where our children can be eaten alive by Mosquitoes.

Therefore I propose a special technologically advanced Soccer Ball with a certain black light glow plume of something Mosquitoes do not like. The ball moves around the field and keeps the Mosquitoes away as they can sense Human CO2 leaving the body from some 150 yards. A moving ball in play would thus keep them away and those are my thoughts on Mosquitoes today! Consider this in 2006.
