Trapped In the Closet

Author: Sipho Mnyakeni

Remember R-Kellys song.

This man is sleeping at another mans house and when he is caught out he tries to reason his way out but when he calls home he hears a mans voice he assumes his wife is cheating and he loses his mind and when he is lied to he thinks its okay forgetting that he also was cheating and then the truth finds him and he is furious. All of them were trapped in the closet and life will never be the same.

We also find ourselves trapped in the closet, as far as our dreams are concerned: Many dreams will never be realized because the dreamers are trapped in the closet.

Closets that Trap People

Covetousness: The closet of covetousness has people held down by a desire to have what others have. These people walk other people's dreams. they only find motivation to pursue something once it is owned by someone else.

Living a LIE

Sometimes pressure causes us to pretend to be what we are not so that we can fit in the crowd.

Others Opinions

We are so good at believing what people say about us, especially when it is negative. people's opinions are holding many people down.
Selfishness: Whatever talents we have are for other people's benefit. that statement is so tru and is demonstrated by the fact that none of us use their names or cell phone numbers frequently. they both belong to us but are used by other people. selfishness is a closet because it deprives one with the opportunity to release the talents to others so that you can get more.

Emulous

People in this closet are preoccupied with beating someone. they are so competitive it is not funny. They can never congratulate a person who has succeeded because they think they can do better.

Tradition

letting the past determine the future is a closet that holds more people down than any other closet. people who say 'been there, done that, moved on'. they refuse to believe that there is always another opportunity to excel. the wisest and most logical thing to do after a fall is to rise and after a failure is to start again.

If we could pluck up teh courage to get out of these closets - we are well on our way to personal execllence.

GET OUT OF THE CLOSET!!!
