Shipping And Packaging Supplies

Author: Marcus Peterson

Packaging supplies constitute a large amount of shipping supplies. Generally, packaging supplies include boxes, bags, bubble wraps, edge protectors, envelopes, and mailers.

Different types of boxes are the most commonly used packing supplies. Boxes are used for different purposes and on different occasions. As such, they may vary in make, type, and size. Corrugated boxes, mailers, slide loaders and bulk cargo containers are the most common among them. The double-wall, heavy duty boxes, storage bins, computer boxes, and storage file boxes are among other widely used packing supplies. Space is a matter of concern in ships, and packing supplies are meant for the optimum utilization of space. Boxes are available in different sizes and shapes to serve this need.

Envelopes and mailers are another extensively used packing supply. Mailers include bubble mailers, poly mailers, rigid mailers, and corrugated mailers. Nowadays, vinyl envelopes are extensively used for packing. Bubble wraps ensure the safety of fragile and brittle goods. Commonly used bubble wraps include bubble rolls, bubble bags, bubble dispenser boxes, and bubble masks.

Shrink wraps are used for packing goods like CDs and cassettes. Normally, shrink wraps include shrink film rolls, shrink film bags, and shrink pallet bags. Proper labeling is necessary for the effective management of packed goods. Different types of labels, including mailing labels, laser labels, custom-printed labels, barcode labels, magnetic labels, and vinyl warehouse labels are available. Bags have extensive use in packaging. Widely used bags include poly bags, re-closable poly bags, trash liners, and gusseted bags.

Packaging supplies ensure safe and effective transit of goods. They help make the maximum use of valuable space as well as ensuring the easy management of goods.
