How to Personalize your MySpace Website

Author: Gabriel J. Adams

With just a few tweaks, you can completely customize and personalize your Myspace website. It's not hard, and the result can be very cool.

First of all, you can customize your blog layout you can change the fonts, colors, background, style sheet and header of your blog. You can even insert custom HTML for your header. That allows you to insert pretty much anything you want a flash file, movie, pictures, etc.

Most website layouts use a light colored back ground with darker text. However, you can play around with the colors to create something really unique.

You can also use background images on your layout. Images do tend to make text hard to read, but there are a few ways around that. Using your favorite image editor, you can lighten your image enough that black or other dark text is easy to read over the image. Or, you can darken the image so that white or another pale color is easy to read.

The next thing to do is to choose your profile picture for your Myspace. You can just upload your favorite photo, or you can choose a photo that goes along with your design theme.

Another great way to customize your site is to choose your featured song for the music player on your blog. First of all, you'll need to locate a song you want to use. Many popular music artists have Myspaces. Use the Myspace search feature to locate the Myspace of one of your favorite artists. They will normally have a player on their Myspace with several of their songs.

Once you find a song you want played on your Myspace, just click Add next to the song you want. Visitors to your site can now listen to that song on your site.

Another great way to customize your Myspace is to use a pre designed layout or template. It's not as custom, but you can find some really cool designs that way.
