Project Outsourcing VS Temp Agencies

Author: Michele Graham

Outsourcing different projects that you may need help with in your business is much cheaper than hiring a temp to come in your office to complete the project. Temp Agencies charge you double on what an outsourced employee would charge.

There are many qualified and over qualified folks, sitting at home needing some type of income or extra income, that would perform an excellent job for a lot less than a temp agency would charge you.

If you have a temp comes into your office, they have to have some type of direction from another employee to know what to do. The temp will get paid from the temp agency even if they are not doing a good job for you. On the otherhand, if you outsource a project to someone for a flat fee for service, you have control over the job being done correctly.

With technology as it is today, you can fax or email the project information to the outsourced entity. You can dial in through Net Meeting and show them what you want done or you can use Net Meeting to view what they have done if there seems to be a problem.

Where do you find an outsourced employee? Run ads on places like www.craigslist.org. It's free and you would be surprised at the responses you will get. This is one of the best I have found to find temporary help. It is also discreet in the fact that you don't have to list your company name or other information that you don't want published.

There are so many people that need any type of job and so many that have computers and internet access, you are bound to find someone to work at a reasonable fee.

I have found that even very large companies outsource. It keeps tham from adding "payroll" to their budget and gets the job accomplished without having to give benefits.

If you have a project that needs to be done, try outsourcing and see how efficiently and quickly you can get a job done. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
